The Ballyellery House overlooks panoramic scenery of the Atlantic Ocean and a two-mile sandy beach, which offers superb swimming and surfing.

Only a few miles from the Cliffs of Moher, the Burren, and the city of Ennis, there are plenty of activities to keep you busy throughout your stay.

Situated on a private acre, the house has 5 bedrooms and 3 baths with ample parking. A separate dining area overlooks evening sunsets on a large split-level patio. Enjoy a cozy afternoon, reading on the window seat, gazing out at rolling-fields. The lower-level living area is perfect for relaxing after a round of golf or a swim in the sea. A wide selection of board games and books are available to entertain guests of all ages! The home is thoughtfully laid out and complete with modern amenities. It is perfect for 4 couples or a family getaway.

Local Area

Only 6 miles from the Cliffs of Moher and the Burren, which brings you to the spectacular Aillwee Caves, the house is situated in one of the most desirable locations on the West of Ireland. The coastal roads overlook Galway Bay and Galway City is only a 45-minute drive north. Doolin, a quaint Irish Village, famous for its traditional music is just 3 miles away. From Doolin, you can catch a boat to the Aran Islands and spend the day walking the beaches, taking in stunning views while enjoying local cuisine and atmosphere. Drive 45 minutes south through the breath-taking countryside and you will arrive at Kilrush where you can take in a Dolphin Tour or ferry ride to the Ring of Kerry.

There are many fine restaurants in the area from casual pub food to award-winning cuisine. The seafood is always fresh and the pints are always cold. Some of the most notable restaurants include, Vaughan’s – Liscannor, The Atlantic – Lahinch, and Roadford House – Doolin. Looking for coffee with a view? The Rock Shop and Moher Cottage boast beautiful scenery with the finest coffee and homemade baked goods. Both locations offer unique giftshops with local Irish-made treasures.

The Ballyellery House overlooks two 18-hole championship golf courses, including the award-winning Lahinch Golf Club, home of the 2019 Irish Open. There are many other notable courses in the area including, Doonbeg, Dromoland Castle, Ballybunion, and Dukes. If you’re new to the game or are looking for a fun par-3 experience, Sandfield House Pitch & Putt is just up the road and offers 18-holes (clubs can be rented onsite).

Even in inclement weather, there is plenty to do. An aquarium, indoor pool, and two state-of-the-art fitness centers are only 5 minutes from the house. The Moher Hill Open Farm and Leisure Park is the perfect activity to entertain guests of all ages and lunch can be enjoyed by the entire group in their quaint café. Lahinch and Ennistymon have a great selection of shops, from unique markets with local food, to fine Irish woolens and Waterford Crystal.
